Frank Smith is the National Co-ordinator of the National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS), a position he has held since 1986 when the group was founded. NEADS is the only non-governmental organization of its type in Canada that represents post-secondary students and graduates with disabilities, with a mandate to support full access to college and university education nationally.

Frank Smith est le coordonnateur national de l’Association nationale des étudiant(e)s handicapé(e)s au niveau postsecondaire (NEADS). Il occupe ce poste depuis la fondation de l’Association, en 1986. NEADS est la seule organisation non gouvernementale de ce type au Canada. Elle représente les étudiants et les diplômés handicapés et a pour mandat de leur assurer un accès complet à une formation collégiale et universitaire partout au pays.
